Fed: ACT Health Minister meeting with UN drug experts
ACT Health Minister MICHAEL MOORE is meeting with UN drug experts this morning to discuss
the territory's plan for injecting rooms.
The International Narcotics Control Board requested the meeting to discuss Mr MOORE's
proposal for a safe injecting room in Canberra's city centre.
The plan involves allowing addicts to inject drugs under medical supervision.
Earlier this year, the narcotics board said governments risk breaking international
laws by approving such injecting rooms.
