FED:Domestic strife but no foreign quarrels

CANBERRA, Feb 23 AAP - Shakespeare, who was no mug when it came to politics, once had
Henry IV advising his son to "busy giddy minds with foreign quarrels".

The son, when he became Henry V, did just that by crossing the channel and belting
the French at Agincourt.

Ever since it's been thought smart, if not admirable, politics to do just that - if
you've got a problem at home, stir up a distraction abroad.

Here at the moment our politicians are doing the opposite.
