Fed: Nurses criticise Patterson snub
CANBERRA, Feb 20 AAP - Nurses have joined a chorus of criticism directed at federalHealth Minister Kay Patterson for snubbing a meeting in Melbourne on Friday to discusshospital funding.
The meeting was called to discuss a new Australian Health Care Agreement, which coversfederal funding for the public hospital system.
A new deal is to come into force in July.
But Senator Patterson has refused to attend the meeting after receiving a letter fromher state and territory counterparts which she said read like a log of funding demands.
